Daniel Vosovic and his adorable boyfriend Kieran made an appearance on Watch What Happens, the Bravo online show with a set that looks like it's in the back of a van.
In part 1, learn everything you ever wanted to know about the boys as Andy Cohen (rocking a KILLER tan - where have YOU been spending your summer, girl?)asks them all about themselves - how they met, what they eat, who's on top.
Okay, we made that last one up.
In part 2, Daniel talks a little bit about his time on the show and about Santino. Later, there's a SURPRISE GUEST CALLER who does NOTHING to raise the testosterone levels in the room. Watch What Happens, kittens!

Out Gunned.
Out Magazine put big old mess Marc Jacobs on the cover, but as in life, it's what's inside that counts. First, an interview with Tim Gunn.

So you didn't grow up fixated on fashion?
I was fixated on architecture and interiors, which of course had everybody worried. I had a really butch father — so butch I thought maybe he was a closet case. He was an FBI agent and a sports lover, and the only sport I could even participate in was swimming, because it was nice and clean and you didn’t sweat.
On politics:
Who on Capitol Hill needs Tim Gunn's Guide to Style most?
Laura Bush. Oh, my God!
On Project Runway:
You have no influence over the judges?
None. It keeps me an honest man. I have no interaction with them at all, but that doesn't mean they don't drive me to total despair.
And how do they do that?
How do the judges drive me to total despair? By smoking crack! By making decisions I can't fathom.

On his show:
You're quick to point out that Guide to Style isn't a typical makeover show.
I'm not a fashion Svengali. I don't throw clothes at you and tell you if you wear these things, all your fashion foibles will go away. I'm a fashion therapist.
On his personal life:
How's your romantic life?
I haven’t been in a relationship since 1982. God, that sounds pathetic. But I was so severely hurt that I’ve never, ever gotten over it. I was so madly and desperately in love that I didn’t see the end coming. It was a routine night on the couch watching television, and he turned to me and just said, 'I don’t have the patience for you. I can’t do this anymore.' After nine years. I still remember leaving his apartment, driving down Rock Creek Parkway in Washington, D.C., thinking, Maybe I’ll just drive right off the bridge.
Then they followed up with their favorite PR alums by making them pose for a dorky picture. Emmett says they had to "make it work" with tin foil, whatever that means.

Don't mess with these bitches!
"The fourth season of Project Runway doesn't begin until December, but ELLE's style and market editors Kate Lanphear, Joann Pailey, and Francesca Mills couldn't wait to share what happened behind the scenes. Get a sneak peek of the design talent in LA, New York, Chicago, and Miami by reading their audition diaries."

"Some people came back multiple times, valiantly trying to win us over. It worked once or twice—we'd give people second chances—but there were a few people who wouldn't take "no" for an answer."
"By about halfway through the day, we had become so expert at reading body language and different looks that we were able to know instantly if someone was worth putting through to the next level."
"In New York, a lot of transvestites auditioned for the show. I'd say that was surprising, but, hey, it's New York. Also, some of the designers' models were transvestites."
"One contestant said he had gone to Parsons, but Tim picked up on the dates of attendance. Tim commented that that the designer said that he'd gone to the design school for much longer than he actually had. How could someone think they could pass this one off on the chair of Parsons?"
EDITED TO ADD: A fabulous little unnamed birdie informs us that Elle got the date wrong. No date has been set for when the show will air, but it will air in the 4th quarter.

Ripping the Collections: Daniel, Part Two

As manipulative and cruel as the "13th look" was, Daniel should have kissed a couple producers for coming up with it.

Maybe he works better under stress, because this? Best thing in the whole collection. Cute and flirty and sporty, which from our perspective is exactly what Daniel was trying to do with this collection. There's not much to talk about because it's such a simple look, but we love the collar, which is reminiscent of the ivory coat and we love the styling. The boots and gloves make the look.*thud*
Remember when we said there was one other look we hated more than the puffy shirt? That would be this one. She looks like a little girl trying on her mother's clothes - all of them at once.
An ivory pleated skirt is a tough sell, but pairing it with that mismatched top and vest was definitely not the way to go. And that stuff coming out her armholes - what is that? She looks like an upholstered chair after our cats get a hold of it. Nope. Don't like this one at all.
On the other hand, we really like this one. Great proportions. There's yet another mismatch in color, but the pants are sexy and we like the buttons, but there's probably too many of them.
Another teacher heading to the faculty lounge while those little bastards kill each other on the playground.
There's nothing particularly wrong with this look; it's just that it's so dull for Bryant Park. Sure, there's a little interest with the sleeves, but for the most part, you could find this outfit at any Target.
And can we just take a moment to talk about the bags he loved so much? Those handles! They look like knitting bags. Stick a couple skeins and needles in there and you'll have something to do during those boring faculty meetings! Sorry Daniel. These just weren't as fabulous as you thought.
As St. Tim would say, "That's a LOTTA look." Had he toned down one or two elements or maybe worked in a more...sophisticated color, we probably would like it more, but there's just too much going on here. The sleeves, the collar, the embellishments, the lace, the overwhelming grapejuiciness of it ...too, too much.
And those are the wrong shoes.
Let's ignore the fact that this looks like it belongs in a different collection. It's still kind of a weird dress. There was no need for it to be that long. It was not only impractical, but aesthetically, it's just distracting.
Then again, this look was nothing but one distraction after another. Oy gevalt, the TASSLES! And what's going on with that trim around her armpits? It's never a good sign when someone has to ask this question, but is that on purpose or just poorly finished? We can't tell.
At first we were all "Take a couple elements away and it would be a perfectly fine dress."
Then we saw the back. What the hell is going on there? That looks like the front of a different dress. In fact, that looks so much like a bust that she has this weird, Death Becomes Her twisted-head vibe going on when she walks away.
We're really getting our bitch on and it sounds like we hated this collection, but that's not it. It could have been a very basic, if a little boring, American sportswear-inspired collection and that would have been fine. Problem is, he went for all these crazy embellishments, which, one after another, became more and more frustrating. Plus, taken as a whole, the collection is pretty disjointed. It's good that he showed a range, but he had no through-line. It wasn't helped by the fact that there were too many colors (blues, purples, ivory, light green, browns, not to mention the plaid and that black and white print or jacquard). We still think he's talented and he's got what it takes, but he needs someone standing over his shoulder and editing him.[Photos: FirstView]

Ripping the Collections: Daniel, Part One

Oh, how we have backed and forthed on this collection, darlings. Depending on our mood, the lighting, or the alignment of the planets, our opinion keeps changing on this one. On the one hand, it's a pretty good summation of Daniel's aesthetic and he clearly loves to do sportswear; on the other hand, it suffered from being just a little too catalogue-basic, not to mention the finishing issues and one or two (or more) choices that lead us to believe that Daniel needed a couple years' experience under his belt (both professionally and personally) to hammer out some of the problems.
As for models and styling, we have to laugh. The girls all looked great, but with their slightly ethnic, slightly aristocratic look coupled with the sexily tousled hair, he basically had 13 female versions of himself walking down that runway. Admit it, Daniel. You tried the clothes on a couple times, didn't you?
Let's start the show.
It's a "wow" piece, for sure. The fabric is beautiful on the jacket and we love the uber-structured feel of it. From the waist up, she looks impeccable.
That skirt seems like an odd choice to us. Both the color and the weight of the fabric feel wrong paired with that heavy jacket.
This is simple and a little too Talbot's-y, but it is a beautiful look. The proportions are perfect, the styling is just right and she looks great.
Could've done without the little epaulet-y things on her shoulders, though. The line is so clean that it didn't really need that visual bump. And speaking of bumps, what's going on with her lady bumps there? Skinny girls with teacup boobs shouldn't be bustin' out like that.
Okay, there's nothing to say here. This is stunning.
Sure, it's classic and some might even say it's boring, but the collar, the cuffs and the buttons really add something to it.
*clunk*
And the crowd goes "Hunh?"

Daniel darling, Classic American Sportswear may be your thing, but if we may make a suggestion: don't send a model down a Bryant Park runway in something that looks like it came from Wal-Mart. The colors are too washed out and the top makes her look heavy, which she almost definitely is not. We get that he was going for the "fresh and pretty" thing, but she looks like the prettiest teacher in her elementary school and honey, you should shoot for a little higher than that.Okay, that little badge thing hanging off her chest? We're with the Duchess on this one. We just want to rip it off. It's distracting - and not in a good way.
The fit in the bust is off and we don't like the proportions of it. The straps are set too far apart, which makes her look a lot wider and bustier than she actually is. We like the skirt though.
Hmmm.
We like this one, but we don't think the boots were the right choice.
God we're bitches.
And speaking of being bitches, holy cow, we HATE this look. There's one other look in his collection that we hate more, but we'll get to it later. This just does not work for us in any way.
Compliments first: the pants are fine. In fact, they're great. Love the cut, love the fabric.

It's the TOP. Like a St. Pauli Girl on a ski vacation. The colors are drab and do nothing to the pants; the finishing looks terrible, the fabrics are too shiny, and it's just all puffy and pleated to an alarming extent. Like he got a new sewing machine and wanted to run it through its paces or something.Part two tomorrow, bitches!

Can you forgive us?
Darlings, we are DREADFULLY sorry that we haven't had any content for several days, but when Bravo Marketing Director Valerie Brown, who is fabulous beyond measure, invites you to her birthday party, what would YOU do?
You better love us, bitches. How many of you would post drunken sweaty pictures of yourselves for thousands to see?

The aforementioned Ms. Brown, spewing attitude and fabulosity in every direction. Even the Latin Explosion couldn't dim her glitter.

Utter sweetheart, but standing next to the bitch makes us look positively avuncular. He'll pay for that.

Have we ever mentioned how good Malan smells - all the time? We have a feeling he could spend the day digging ditches and wind up smelling like Chanel No. 5.
And we of course had to stay an extra day just to see PR seasons collide:

And honeys, trust us. Just sitting around a table and dishing with these two made the whole trip worth it.
We promise we'll get to the collections later today. First up: that skinny bitch who makes us look old in pictures: Daniel V.

Congratulations Daniel!
The remaining designers face off in the final competition to determine who goes to Bryant Park. They must design an evening gown that represents their final collection. Bonus twist: It'll be worn by guest judge and full-time diva, Iman. You can read Tim's Take here and listen to his podcast here. Now Iman has the one thing her extensive wardrobe lacked: an off-the-rack prom dress.
We're sure she was overcome with gratitude but too fabulous to show it. All her life she'd dreamed of wrist corsages and papier-mache backdrops and now, finally, she's one step closer to making it a reality.
International fame? A legendary husband? The darling of fashionistas and photographers the world over? It is as nothing when all one wants to do is down Long Island Iced Teas and let the quarterback get to third base in the parking lot.
Kudos to Daniel for possessing the gentle empathy that allowed him to fulfill so many of Iman's dreams.
Sarcasm? You're soaking in it.
EDITED TO ADD:
Iman wears Daniel's dress.
