One of these designers slept on a Sealy Posture-pedic last night.

Damn, girl. What happened to you this week?

It's not just that Chloe derailed this week, it's that she was supremely, obliviously confident in the face of a really ugly, poorly made dress - and that's not really like her.

Tim was dead-on in his concerns about giving Grace "a big fat ass," something that's near-impossible to do, yet Chloe pulled it off.

Chloe has a thing for unusually placed seams, but this just isn't working for us. First off, the puckery is off the scale. Secondly, her vagina looks like it's frowning - and no one likes a sad vagina.

Chalk it up to exhaustion, we guess. Every penultimate challenge for all 3 seasons yielded tired, mediocre results. Here's hoping they can figure out a way to circumvent it in Season 4.

Santino, on the other hand, was ENERGIZED! Solid Gold! Filling up my life with music!

He was just happy to be there after last week's scraping-by and pumped up by the intense competitiveness of it all. Plus, he seemed to be trying to take some of the judges' criticism to heart.

Which isn't to say that he effectively managed to tone himself down, but he treated it like a dress that was going on a woman who wanted to look good and that's a start.

When he had it on the dress form, before he started throwing paillettes at it, we were shocked at how classically beautiful and well-executed the basic dress was. Of course, trim is like crack to Santino and once he gets it in his hands, he can't seem to let go of it.

A shame, really. One quarter of the paillettes, placed more artfully, would have turned this into a stunner of a dress. At the very least, Santino deserves credit for bringing his A game at a time when the rest of the little hothouse flowers were placing their wrists dramatically against the foreheads and daintily falling to the floor in front of their dress forms.

SayoKara!

It's really saying something when this dress is actually a little more interesting design-wise than most of the rest of them.

You couldn't get much more basic than this (but god bless him, Danny V. managed); under normal circumstances, it probably wouldn't even register, but since the pool was so shallow this week, the finer touches stand out. We love the fit in the bodice and the cut of the bust.

Coupled with the racer back, it gives it a strong, almost sporty feel to it. Unfortunately, the color does nothing for the dress and the skirt really doesn't look so good to us.

Plus, she clearly had finishing problems.

It's a shame she had to go, because Kara has such a quirky, distinct, yet chic aesthetic, but we really can't argue with the decision.

We don't know why she floundered so much in this challenge, but flounder she did. She really seemed lost and unsure of herself, not to mention exhausted.

Like so many other people who don't make it to the end in these things, it certainly wasn't a lack of talent that did her in so much as a lack of ability to survive in a reality show competition, which isn't much of a measure of anything in the long run. Her story isn't quite over for this season, since she was the decoy collection at Bryant Park and we'll be looking at her collection later, but one thing's for sure, Kara is doing just fine.

Congratulations Daniel!

The remaining designers face off in the final competition to determine who goes to Bryant Park. They must design an evening gown that represents their final collection. Bonus twist: It'll be worn by guest judge and full-time diva, Iman. You can read Tim's Take here and listen to his podcast here.

Now Iman has the one thing her extensive wardrobe lacked: an off-the-rack prom dress.

We're sure she was overcome with gratitude but too fabulous to show it. All her life she'd dreamed of wrist corsages and papier-mache backdrops and now, finally, she's one step closer to making it a reality.

International fame? A legendary husband? The darling of fashionistas and photographers the world over? It is as nothing when all one wants to do is down Long Island Iced Teas and let the quarterback get to third base in the parking lot.

Kudos to Daniel for possessing the gentle empathy that allowed him to fulfill so many of Iman's dreams.

Sarcasm? You're soaking in it.

EDITED TO ADD:
Iman wears Daniel's dress.
