Ciao, Ladies!

Sometimes those judges can be a bunch of drama queens.

Don't get us wrong. For the most part, we agreed with their assessment that this was too severe, too retro (neither of which was helped by the styling) and just not the Banana Republic look. Add to that, some issues of poor execution and a stupid window display and we can't really dispute the outcome.

Although we did kind of like the blouse.

We just think the judges overreacted a bit to this one, as if it was some horrid crime against fashion. This is a fairly classic look that goes in and out of style constantly, with practically the only change being the hemline. We didn't get or agree with the Duchess's crack that this looked like a stewardess. Keep your eyes peeled. We can practically guarantee that at some point in the next 5 years, Michael Kors will send something that looks remarkably like this down the runway.

We'll miss Diana. We know she gets on the nerves of some people, but we always thought she was adorable and we thought she produced surprisingly interesting designs. Marla, well she never produced anything that we could find a way to compliment, but it's to her credit that she knew all through this challenge that the design wasn't working, even if she didn't really demonstrate enough self-confidence to actually speak up about it.

One we loved and two we absolutely HATED

Y'know, we've given Andrae a lot of grief in the past, but credit where credit's due, this is a really beautiful dress.

It's feminine, chic and understated, which is ironic because we wouldn't have used ANY of those words to describe his previous entries. It's also beautifully fitted. The bodice hugs her just enough and the skirt flows beautifully. Kudos to him for not going overboard on the detailing, offering just enough sparkle to bump it up without overwhelming.

We love the trim on the bust and the double straps too (although they don't look so hot from the back), which could have come off gimmicky but doesn't . The way the fabric gathers and droops in the back is sexy and makes this as much a "walking away" dress as it is a "walking toward" dress. Nice job, drama queen.

JESUS.

What a stunningly ugly dress this is. Zulema, enough with the white and black. It's boring as hell. The leather is too heavy to be paired with whatever that fabric is she used for the rest of the dress. We kept thinking poor Rachel was going to fall over.

It's once again an amazingly poorly constructed garment. Amazing because she's still in the game after sending so many half-assed (or in one case, full-assed) garments down the runway. Not that perfect execution would have saved this dress. It's an ugly design no matter how well it's put together.

A simple "Jesus" won't suffice here. We're afraid we're going to have to call down Mary and Joseph on this one too.

Let's get this out of the way first. We really feel sorry for Marla. She's in WAY over her head and she knows it. We can't remember when she said it but she admitted at one point that she'd never seen the show before. We have no idea what she sells in her boutique or whether it's any good but based on her work on the show, she is, sorry to say, not a designer at all.

Because a designer (at least one competing in a design competition) would have never attempted what she did here. It's really stunning to look at the two dresses side by side. They're almost indistinguishable.

And God, Marla. If you're going to rip off a dress, at least rip off a dress that isn't hideously ugly to start with.

We met Marla once and she's a very sweet, friendly woman, but she never should have been allowed to stay after this. As ugly as Lupe's dress was, it was in fact, Lupe's design and that should have counted for more because as we said, this is a design competition, not a sewing competition. And frankly, Marla wouldn't even have been able to win a sewing competition. It's harsh (and we're surprised Señora Harsh herself didn't say this), but she really does not belong here.

Dirty Diana

Like so much of what Diana does, this definitely had something going on even if the end product is a little bit of a head-scratcher.

There was something about the concept that we responded to. It was definitely different and it had the potential to be interesting and sexy, but unfortunately, it fell short.

The combination of tight, skimpy, somewhat fetishistic underwear coupled with light, flowy fabrics was a good starting point, conceptually. In fact, it was probably the best starting point out of any of the teams.

We love those sleeves, but those thongs are poorly designed and don't do the one thing a thong is supposed to do: make your ass look better.

This piece was the true clunker. But then again, so is the model.

Oh, just stop. You suck.

It's hard to judge this outfit because we don't really know what they had to do to please the model, but it doesn't appear to fit with the rest of the collection at all.

Okay, then! Good luck on that Burger King job, bitch.

Surprisingly, she's much prettier off the runway. Her sourness whenever she has to actually, you know, model clothes, makes her look less attractive than she is.

SHE'S. A. MODEL. Who gives a shit what she likes and doesn't like? Either she wears the clothes provided for her or she goes home, end of story.

God bless her, our little Asian mouse isn't as mousy as she appears:

"I feel like you can't just be that picky if you're a model because your job is to achieve different looks and if you don't want to do that, you should probably get a different job."

Amen, sister! Too bad you didn't say that to her face, though.

Barbie! Now with "Aging Call Girl" and "Foundation Garment" clothing sets!

We were both ready to go into this with an "Oh, Marla's dress wasn't that bad" approach. Then we got the screencaps.

Holy shit. It's worse. It's poorly executed AND an ugly design AND the fabric choices are all wrong AND she's badly accessorized. You just can't get any worse than that.

Oh Jesus. Deliver us from the whickety-whack. She looks like she has two giant centipedes crawling out of her cheap wig.

Same thing with Zulema. We thought this was a blandly forgettable outfit until we hit the pause button. There is a lot of crap going on there. The only reason we hadn't noticed it before was because of the washed-out color. What's with that weird strip of sheer fabric across the bust?

What IS that? Control-top for her knees?

The fabric looks cheap and the whole thing is really poorly sewn. She's just lucky she pulled this one out early enough in the game that there was bound to be something worse on the runway. This is a real stinker.

The Good, The Bad, and The Gorgeous

This was pretty cute, actually.

Granted, he used the pants to make pants, the shirt to make a shirt and the jacket to make a jacket, which means for the most part, all he really did was tailor his outfit to fit her, but still, it was cute.

And it looks fit and finished, which is more than you can say for a lot of the entries. But those shoes! What kind of mo are you, picking those shoes for that outfit? For shame, Raymundo.

And this was another disaster from Marla.

The only good thing we can say is that it at least looks like clothing, which is more than you could say about her last entry. That bib-like top is unflattering and ugly and the frilly little trim makes it worse. She looks like she's wearing a napkin for a skirt and a placemat for a top.

And why is she damn near naked? Marla certainly had enough to work with. What's the point of all the exposed skin? She looks outrageously uncomfortable.

Credit where credit's due: this was absolutely gorgeous and could have been the winner easily.

Not a word of criticism will pass our lips. This really is perfect. We don't know what he did to that denim, but somehow he made it look far more expensive than the outfit he started out with.

The layering in the skirt looks chic and stylish...

...and the jacket is perfectly fitted (although we would have preferred it was a little longer in the front). Kudos, Daniel!

Pull her hair! Scratch her eyes out!

Isn't it funny how it's always the women on reality shows that tend to be the most territorial and up-front aggressive right from the start? Zulema had those poor girls quivering in fear and all she did was unpack her luggage. Now that's some talented bitchery.

"Hi...um, Zulema? I'm just gonna put some of my shoes right...here?"

"That's not gonna happen. I don't believe in fairness and I don't believe in sharing my closet with skinny white bitches. Now get out of here before I get all Mommy Dearest on your ass."

"Well! Have you ever!

I am nonplussed!"

"Oh. Well. I'm sure I can probably just keep my clothes in a box or something.

Bitch."

"Look, I'm the oldest of seven children. That means that I'm outrageously territorial and besides, her shoes were ugly. I don't want that shit stinking up my clothes."

"She's very ... aggressive, isn't she? We don't have aggressive people in Allentown, PA.

Oh god, she can't hear me right now, can she? I mean, she's off in the workroom right now, right? You guys would tell me if she was standing behind that screen or something, right?

Anyway, I'm sure we can work out our differences and come to be great friends."

"Here. Just take a good look at this whenever you get the urge to piss me off. That's what's gonna come flying down at your head at 85 miles an hour."
