From "Enh," to "Not bad," to "WHAT THE HELL?"

First off: Grace? Freakin' fabulous. We love you, you gigantic, exotic Amazon.

The dress? Freakin' dull. Don't get us wrong, it's a passably good design, well-executed. No problems there - although there's some fit issues with the bust.

It's just such a bland dress. There's a little interest at the bottom with the way the skirt flares out, but other than that, this is just a standard gown with spaghetti straps.

Hmmm. A little problem with the fit in the back, too.

Not a bad entry so much as it's a bit standard and disappointing. Good enough to keep her in the competition, which we guess was the whole point anyway.

We're liking Zulema's garment the more we look at it.

Sure, it's no more innovative or interesting than Chloe's entry. This is, after all, standard department store clothing. But there's at least more going on here. More elements and more of an overall statement on Zulema's style, which judging from this, owes quite a bit to the '80s power bitch era.

It's a pretty standard design, presented with just enough drama to make it stand out. Love the pleated skirt and the construction of the jacket, even if does need a good ironing.

And then there's Lupe.

Was there ever a more appropriately named contestant? Good God almighty, what the hell IS this?

AAAAHHHH! Stop! Our eyes!

Okay, being as open-minded as we can be, we'll give her credit for having a strong point of view that she doesn't seem to be shy about expressing. Points there.

Thing is, you can do all sorts of crazy stuff in fashion and be hailed a visionary, but generally speaking, those designers we call visionary tend to have reasons and justifications for their deviations. If you're just gonna throw something down the runway that looks like you stapled it together, what's the point?

Too much, Lupe. Way too much. There's no aesthetic rhyme or reason to this. It's just a lot of frippery tacked on to a mismatched, asymmetrical garment.

Loopy!

Two We Liked

How much fun is this? We get to talk about Uncle Nick!

More specifically, Uncle Nick's dress, which was a major contender for the win.

And Tarah! Fabulous and HOT!

Nick being Nick, this was well tailored and dyed a gorgeous, rich color. The proportions on that jacket are perfect.

And the dress itself was appropriately (for Nick) goddess-y and red carpet-ready.

With some sass and sexiness thrown in. All in all, a perfect encapsulation of Nick's style and skills.

Then there's Diana who...ohmigod could she be any sweeter? All we can think is "Honey, fashion? They'll run you through a wood-chipper, poor thing. There won't be much of you left after those bitches get done with you."

Except...y'know, she's got a really interesting point of view. We love that collar. It's dramatic and it's different and she didn't go too far with the concept, stopping at just the point where it still looks recognizably like something a lot of women might wear.

The dress itself wasn't particularly well-fitted and it was pretty plain. The detachable skirt wasn't a bad idea in theory. Done well, it could have a lovely kimono-esque quality to it, although there's no real reason to use magnets except as a gimmick.

It didn't help that her choice of color was drab. It wasn't the most well-executed garment on the runway but it did have that little spark of creativity that made you stop and consider it.

Malan had a show, Darlings!

The ever-fabulous Malan Breton from Taiwan showed his Fall 2007 collection this week, darlings. We adore the blue velvet dressing gown. Give that bitch a turban and a cigarette holder, pronto.

Feed on the fabulosity:

Okay, we have a good excuse.

Kittens, we're sorry we didn't provide you with our normal astronomically high level of entertainment yesterday, but when Bryant Park calls, one simply must answer.

Once again, we got to spend the day with the Bennett-Shelton clan as future supermodel of the world Pierson Bennett Shelton made his runway debut for the Child Magazine show.

Here, Tom pretends that he is the prissy uptight assistant of a world famous fashion designer. "Please stand 10 feet away from Ms. Bennett while she is on the phone, thank you."

The show was a blast. The kids outfits ranged from the glamorous to the outrageous to the adorable. As always, you can check out New York Mag for the entire runway show and backstage photos.

SO CUTE!!!!

SO FREAKING CUTE!!!!!

We're DYING here! And yes, Laura made the outfit.

For most of us, home movies consist of the requisite sleepy-eyed Christmas morning stuff, along with the occasional recital or pageant or parade march. If your parents are Peter Shelton and Laura Bennett, your home movies consist of you walking down a Bryant Park runway past a bored Kimora Lee while Tim Gunn watches and applauds.

Tiny little boy, you are freaking FABULOUS!

Of course it's no surprise that Pierson owned that runway (no matter what Kimora thinks). He had two fabulous fairy godfathers last month cheering him on and offering tips as he practiced his catwalk in his living room:

Future star? Oh yes.

Backstage, Lorenzo does his impression of a 13 year old girl. "Ohmigod. Catherine Malandrino. Ohmigod. We have to get a picture. Ohmigod she's fabulous. Here, take a picture. NOW. Ohmigod. Ohmigod. She's so fabulous. I think I'm going to cry."

He is SUCH a little starfucker.

Truth be told, she looks GORGEOUS in person and she was surprisingly friendly.

After the show, we hung out back at their place and ordered Chinese and just chatted.

We finally got to hang out a little more with Nicole, who we promised would get a picture on the blog. She is fabulous and funny and a blast to be around. Here, she demonstrates how to use a newborn baby as a puppet, while big brother Truman mugs for the camera - something all those kids do the minute a lens is trained on them.

We forced a gun to his head but we finally got Bad Daddy to pose for us.

There. Now does that make up for no posting yesterday? As always, poodles, we do it all for YOU.

Auf Wiedersehen, John! It means "goodbye," Other Heidi.

It has to be embarrassing to make it all the way to New York for the finals, and then to get auf'd before you got a chance to strut your stuff.

This wasn't a bad dress, really. It just didn't tell you anything about the designer, which is really what the judges were looking for.

That styling's just a tad whorish, no?

She looks like the kind of gal that spends a lot of time in airport lounges.

As for Other Heidi, if Precious Moments made clothing, it would look something like this.

When a designer thinks that "pretty" is a design statement, then they need to just go. There's just nothing going on with this outfit.

"Auf Wiedersehen."

"I don't even know what that means."

"And that's why you're going home."

Our girl, fashionable as always.

Check out Bad Mommy rocking the pearls as she talks to leading stylemakers about the trends emerging from Mercedes Benz Fashion Week.

You're fabulous, girl!

The Duchess had one of her little shows this week.

So. Here are six looks from Duchess Kors' Fall 2007 show this week. Two of them we loved, two of them we hated, two of them we only sorta liked.

Guess.
